WHAT IS A CERAMIC COATING?
In simple terms, it is a liquid polymer that bonds chemically to the paint to create a semi-permanent form of paint protection that will last for years. It is the most thorough way to protect the paint on your vehicle.
You can think of the Ceramic Coating as another layer of clear coat stacked on the clear coat of your vehicle only harder and stronger and offering much more durability!!
BENEFITS OF CERAMIC COATING
Ceramic Coatings protect against UV rays, the elements, bird droppings, tree sap, acid rain, industrial fallout, etc... It also protects against light marring/scratching caused by hand washing and hand drying your vehicle.
It also contains self-cleaning properties meaning that the vehicle is ALOT easier to wash during the maintenance washes. It will not wash away and you don’t need to reapply every few months like other forms of protection (wax and sealants).
Ceramic Coatings offers the highest levels of protection, shine, and deep gloss when compared against Waxes and Sealants. Its hydrophobic properties are beyond outstanding; keeping the vehicle clean and easier to wash.
LIFESPAN OF A CERAMIC COATING
At the entry-level, a coating can last 1 year, and depending on the level of Ceramic Coating you prefer it can outlast the life of the vehicle under the proper maintenance.
Many Ceramic Coating companies make claims that their products can last 3, 5, 10 years on the vehicle’s paint. And we believe those claims can be true but there are many factors that influence the durability of a Ceramic Coating.
Some of those factors can be the conditions the vehicle is exposed to, “Is it a daily driver?”, “Is it garage kept?”.., the washing frequency, etc...
Durability
After installation of Ceramic Coating the key to prolong durability is Proper Maintenance. Running your vehicle through a local “scratch and shine” car wash, or cheap hand wash service where harsh soaps, and dirty and low quality mitts, towels and methods are used will most definitely degrade the Ceramic Coating, potentially add scratches to the paint and compromise the coating’s lifespan and durability.
